Ethical Considerations for Scientific Publication
All research submitted for evaluation in Sapiens Sciences International Journal (SASCSIJ) must comply with the ethical regulations in force in the country or region where the study was conducted. Accordingly, authors must previously obtain the necessary authorizations in accordance with said regulations. If images that allow the identification of individuals are included, it is mandatory to ensure confidentiality and the protection of their privacy.
This journal adheres to the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), available at: https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/translations/spanish2021.pdf.
Research Involving Human Beings and Experimental Animals
When the study involves the participation of human beings or animals, authors must ensure compliance with the ethical principles established in the Declaration of Helsinki, whether in its original version (http://doi.org/10.1001/jama.2013.281053) or its official Spanish translation (https://www.wma.net/es/policies-post/declaracion-de-helsinki-de-la-amm-principios-eticos-para-las-investigaciones-medicas-en-seres-humanos/). In addition, authors must obtain informed consent from participants and explicitly mention it in the manuscript.
For research involving randomized clinical trials, it is essential to present the approval of a Clinical Research Ethics Committee or its local equivalent, as well as to declare the source of funding and register the study in a public database such as www.clinicaltrials.gov.
Conflict of Interest Statement
It is the responsibility of all authors to disclose any economic, institutional, or personal relationships that could interfere with the impartiality of the results. SASCSIJ follows the ICMJE guidelines in this regard, available in section II-B-2 of the following link: https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/translations/spanish2021.pdf.
If no conflict exists, the following must be stated: "Conflicts of interest: none." If any exist, they must be detailed in the corresponding section and accompanied by the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form in the official ICMJE format: https://www.icmje.org/downloads/coi_disclosure.docx. The information provided must match what is stated in the manuscript.
Funding
Authors must clearly indicate the financial support received for conducting the study or preparing the article, specifying the role of the sponsors —if any— in aspects such as methodological design, data collection and analysis, interpretation of results, drafting of the manuscript, or the decision to submit it for publication. If there was no financial support or external participation, this must be explicitly stated.
