Digital Preservation

Sapiens Discoveries International Journal (SDIJ) guarantees the long-term preservation of all published content through the following strategies:

Self-archiving: Authors are authorised to archive preprint, postprint and editorial published versions of their articles in institutional, subject, personal repositories and academic networks, always maintaining the formal citation of the original article published in SDIJ.

Integration with PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): SDIJ actively participates in the PKP Preservation Network, an automated digital preservation system offered by the Public Knowledge Project, which ensures the preservation of scholarly journals based on Open Journal Systems (OJS). Through PKP PN, content is archived in secure, decentralised networks, protected against loss or damage.

Archiving on external platforms: All articles are stored in digital preservation systems such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), as well as in institutional preservation services and open access databases.

Internal backups: In addition, SDIJ maintains regular backups of all content on its own and external servers, ensuring its availability in case of any eventuality.
